this circumstance I'm not rec recommending trying to salvage any of this I'm recommending starting fresh I'm recommending exact match keywords I'm recommending at least two if not three or more words per keyword and I'm recommending multiple ad groups let's write all that down for this match okay so keyword optimization ah sorry giving them a red uh let's look at negatives have they wrong red have they been using negatives at all and again I'm mostly focusing here because their other campaign isn't spending just $5 a day so not as much of an impact there negatives negatives okay we do have…

gonna added a negative keyword is there more than like 30 40 Impressions is it more than like two or three clicks is it something I think that if I continue to scale spend it's gonna continue to happen if so then yes kill it but don't Impressions you don't have to negate those if you're not getting clicks on it but make sure you have enough to say like hey this is actually going to take effect otherwise you're just spinning

And again, there's some method to the madness. So if you completely remove all negatives from an account that's been overly structured with negatives, it's going to release like this. So you want to have, okay, a budget set in place. That's not my traditional, like double, triple, quadruple 10x, the daily spend, which I sometimes like to do, but just like 20% higher than what you normally spend. Maybe use some max CPC limits in your portfolios. Just to say, okay, don't go absolutely crazy here, but you kind of lean into it. You can also just delete 10, 20% of the negative keywords per week…

I would love to get more. But it also like, if the conversation starts becoming like, how many of the old manual things we used to do are still important, then one of those things is negative keywords, where it's just, the effect of it is really getting really low because it's getting really hard to figure out what's the intent behind the search. So I just like, we sell, we have a client that sells accessories or jewelry for men. And one of the first things when we took over the account was we had a conversation around search and should all keywords be combined with for men? Because they were…

it's like, well, actually go for it. And another aspect of it is, so, so there's the one aspect was the keyword sculpting or cannibalization. There's also just like, what didn't work a year ago might work today. Like, especially in e-commerce, like if, there's like, I, everybody agrees off in the platform. But if there's something like, like if you're in Europe, we have a lot of stores to sell a lot of different, like that's a retail reseller. There are a few of them in the U S just in general, because it's all Amazon over here. But if you're a reseller and like you have 10 blenders, then the…

basically just limiting the account. In some places it's 5%, some places it's as much as 10, 20, 30%. And there's this one agency we keep taking accounts from and we do the same thing every time. And we get a 50% increase year over year when we remove the negative keywords. The first thing we do every single time. So it's really going back and saying, we trust Google's algorithms and we trust the automation. We trust smart bidding to figure out what should we bid for, what should we not bid for. that we've taken in the last year, maybe five. And again, we don't take more than eight accounts…
